Within the framework of AgroBank Tech Digital Innovation, AgroBank and the MAPA have selected the 15 winning startups, which will begin an acceleration program and specialized executive training provided by EAE Business School, with the aim of accelerating agri-food digitalization and strengthening security and sustainability throughout the value chain.

The fourth edition of this call for proposals attracted a total of 196 startups, whose agritech projects aimed to optimize the use of natural and energy resources to address some of the strategic challenges set out in this program: transformative technologies, smart water management, circular economy and biotechnology, innovation in packaging, storage and logistics, and smart data and traceability platforms. From among all the applicants, 15 startups were selected from Cuenca, Almería, Granada, Navarra, Valencia, Lleida, A Coruña, Sevilla, Barcelona (2), Zaragoza, Murcia, Madrid, Lugo, and Vizcaya.

Among the startups selected to carry out their agri-food digitization projects are solutions related to guardian devices for recording animal temperature (Big Guardian), robotics with artificial vision and drones (Grodi), precision irrigation (Hidroinfiltradores), apps with artificial intelligence (Sowify Global Solutions), agricultural biosolutions (Veganic), autonomous tractors and robots (Agrinpulse), certified biostimulants (Orixe Salgada), AI-powered field notebook generation (Makensia), fungicide robots (Agrikola), livestock automation using sensors (Augan), development of animal feed protein from black soldier fly (Insectius), technology for the control of agricultural pests using light radiation (Agrocaptur), robotics for harvesting (MiFood Robot), milk tank control systems (Perfect Numbers), and digital solutions for livestock farming (Pappstor Agrotech).

The 15 finalists: from precision agriculture to biotechnology.
Big Guardian: Continuous and non-invasive monitoring of livestock health using thermal sensors and artificial intelligence models.
Grodi: An autonomous robot designed for comprehensive crop monitoring in greenhouses using machine vision and artificial intelligence.
Hydroinfiltrators: An irrigation system that optimizes water use by applying water and nutrients directly to the root zone of the crop.
Sowify Global Solutions: An agrotech platform that combines satellite data, sensors, and artificial intelligence to help farmers optimize crop management.
Veganic: Vegan biosolutions for crop nutrition and protection, based on plant extracts, microorganisms, and biostimulation technologies.
Agrinpulse: An electric and autonomous agricultural robot tractor designed to perform tasks such as mechanical weed control and soil maintenance in woody crops.
Orixe Salgada: A biorefinery specializing in the valorization of seaweed washed ashore, transforming it into high-value-added compounds through biotechnological processes.
Makensia: An intelligent telephone assistant based on artificial intelligence that allows farmers to record and manage their farm activity without the need for complex digital tools.

Agrikola: Chemical-free crop protection using autonomous robotics and artificial intelligence, aiming to replace the use of traditional pesticides.
Augan: IoT solutions for livestock farms that allow monitoring of key variables even in environments without electricity or internet access.
Insectius: Transformation of organic byproducts into high-value raw materials through the industrial breeding of black soldier fly larvae. Generates protein, oils, and fertilizers.
Agrocaptur: Pest control using devices that employ LED lighting of specific wavelengths to selectively attract insects.
MiFood Robot: Robotics and artificial intelligence to automate the harvesting of fruits and vegetables on farms. Reduces reliance on manual labor, minimizes product losses, and improves the efficiency and sustainability of harvests.
Perfect Numbers: Water management and optimization platform for the agri-food sector that integrates real-time data from IoT devices.
Pappstor Agrotech: Autonomous grazing system based on artificial intelligence, IoT, and advanced analytics that optimizes the management of extensive livestock farming.

Validation and scaling of their solutions
The selected startups will now participate in an acceleration program designed to facilitate the validation and scaling of their solutions, with access to the development of proof-of-concept and pilot projects in a real-world environment; specialized mentoring in business, technology and regulation; training and strategic support, visibility at national and international industry events and connections with corporations, investors and key players in the sector.
