The new company takes over the activities related to relays, switches, connectors, and sensors that were part of OMRON's DMS business. These components are used for power switching, control, connectivity, and sensing functions in various electronic systems.

In Europe, the company maintains the team that previously operated within this area of OMRON, as well as customer service activities and distributor relations.

Aratas' strategy will initially focus on four main markets: energy management, mobility, digital infrastructure, and automation. The company also plans to explore medium- and long-term applications of its components in the medical and healthcare sectors, as well as in aviation and aerospace systems.

In the European market, one of the areas of activity will be high-power electrification. The company also plans to work on applications related to grid-scale energy storage systems.

Another area highlighted by Aratas is in high-frequency electronic testing, including automated test equipment (ATE) used in the semiconductor industry.

The company will continue working with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), electronic manufacturing service providers (EMS), and distributors, among other customers in the electronics sector.

Aratas thus maintains the component lines from OMRON's Device & Module Solutions business under an independent business structure and with a strategy specifically focused on switching, connection and sensing technologies.
