This year's trending topics at Productronica are smart factory and smart maintenance. Visitors will find a wide range of best practice examples and presentations at exhibitor booths and in special shows and forum stages.
From 3D AOI to the CFX processing line: live demonstrations at Productronica
The 3D AOI Arena makes its debut at productronica this year. Located in Hall A2, it will provide a comprehensive overview of the market for automated 3D optical inspection. Among others, you'll find companies like Cyberoptics, Omron, Viscom, and Yamaha at the dedicated show, where they will present their solutions several times a day.
Another debut will take place in Hall A1. The IPC CFX process line demonstrates the possibilities offered by standardized machine-to-machine communication in electronics manufacturing.
The Smart Maintenance Pavilion in Hall B2 offers insights into smart maintenance within the context of a smart factory. Examples range from quality assurance using deep learning to online machine monitoring.
Visitors to the cleanroom event stage in Hall B2 will discover the requirements involved in working in cleanrooms. Equipped with virtual reality headsets, visitors enter an animated 3D cleanroom and perform various tasks.
IPC World Hand Welding Championship 2019:
The IPC hand welding competition has become a regular feature at productronica. Between the first and third days of the show, the regional hand welding competition will be held at the west entrance. Participants have 60 minutes to assemble a functional unit that meets the criteria of IPC-A-610F Class 3. IPC instructors then evaluate the speed and functionality. The winners of the regional competition qualify for the world championship on the final day of the show. Contestants come from as far afield as Russia, Poland, the UK, France, Hungary, and Asia.
A comprehensive three-stage presentation program.
In addition to best practice examples and live demonstrations, visitors will find numerous presentations and discussion groups on trending topics in electronic product development and production across the Production Forum (Hall A1), Innovation Forum (Hall B2), and PCB and EMS Market (Hall B3).
The forum's scope ranges from artificial intelligence to printed electronics, obsolescence management, and automation in electronic production.
