From November 10 to 13, the world's leading electronics trade fair will facilitate knowledge sharing and networking through practice-oriented forums, the new "edge lab LIVE!" area, dedicated formats for startups and professional development, and the electronica Automotive Conference. At the same time, SEMICON Europa will offer a comprehensive overview of the entire semiconductor industry value chain across two and a half halls.
"electronica 2026 is almost fully booked. Together with SEMICON Europa, we expect around 3,500 exhibitors. This demonstrates the importance of the trade fair and the immense innovative capacity of the sector," says Caroline Pannier, director of electronica. "At the same time, we want to offer our visitors more than just an overview of the latest products and solutions. That's why there will once again be a very extensive parallel program that shares knowledge, provides new inspiration, and leaves plenty of room for professional exchange."
The newly created "electronica Executive Event" with the "CEO Roundtable" will kick off the day before the trade fair. This exclusive evening will bring together key decision-makers in the sector to discuss strategic issues that will shape the future.
New: edge lab LIVE!
The new dedicated exhibition area, edge lab LIVE!,in Hall C5 (C5.100), showcases how edge computing is implemented in practice. Visitors can experience how open source and open standards technologies are used in real-world applications. Selected sessions, presentations, hands-on workshops, and live demonstrations provide practical insights for developers, system architects, and technical decision-makers. The program is complemented by a three-day technical conference and the electronica Edge Awards, which recognize innovative solutions in the fields of embedded systems, IoT, and AI at the edge.
Specialized knowledge for practical application.
The core of the parallel program consists of 15 electronics forums. Right in their respective exhibition areas, experts from companies such as Infineon, MPS, Phoenix Contact, Renesas, and Siemens share practical knowledge and discuss current developments. Topics range from automotive, cybersecurity, and embedded systems to IIoT and connectivity, including printed circuit boards, power electronics, components, and measurement and sensor technology. The "Women in Tech" forum, which focuses on diversity and inclusion in the electronics industry, also returns. New to the forum program are the cross-sector sessions with IFAT and IAA MOBILITY (November 11, B4.445). These sessions highlight interdisciplinary best practices from the electronics, environmental technology, and automotive sectors.
Formats for Start-ups and Young Talent:
Fast Forward Electronics (B4.251), in collaboration with Elektor, showcases how new technologies are transforming into new business models. For the past ten years, this startup platform has brought together young electronics and deep tech companies with industry representatives and potential investors. Selected startups have the opportunity to present their innovations and win the coveted Fast Forward Award. In the Careers Area (C2.401), daily one-on-one advice is available on job applications and career planning, along with a job board that includes industry information and exclusive job offers. The Young Talent Days, taking place on November 12 and 13, offer secondary and university students a special program with guided tours, workshops, and career guidance (free admission on November 13).
Automotive Electronics Conference: The Electronics for Tomorrow's Mobility.
On November 9th—the day before the trade fair begins—the Automotive Electronics Conference, held at the ICM, will bring together leading experts from the international automotive and electronics sectors.
The focus will be on electrification, software-based E/E architectures, autonomous driving, and the geopolitical implications of the semiconductor crisis. Experts from companies such as Airbus, Audi, Carizon, Holon, IMEC, Infineon, and JoysonPreh will provide insights into current developments and strategies in keynote addresses and a panel discussion with technical directors.
