The growing energy consumption of modern data centers is driving demand for high-performance, efficient, and sustainable solutions. With the new AI & Data Centers Stage, the trade fair is placing special emphasis on two of the most relevant future trends in power electronics. This space will bring together expert presentations and best practices on the increasing influence of artificial intelligence and the energy needs of data centers.
“The AI & Data Centers Stage is our first step in offering a central platform for advanced knowledge and inspiration in artificial intelligence. Visitors will be able to learn about the latest developments, from AI-driven design and monitoring to innovative energy management and power systems for data centers,” explains Lisette Hausser, Vice President of PCIM at Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH.

The program will include the topics “AI for power electronics” and “Power electronics for data centers”, with a total of 40 presentations.

AI also takes center stage at the PCIM conference.
The conference will include a keynote address and special sessions:
June 10, 2026:
Keynote: “AI Meets Power Electronics: Are we there yet?” – Uwe Drofenik (Vienna University of Technology)
Special session: AI in power electronics – Ole Gerkensmeyer (Nexperia)
June 11, 2026:
Special session: Continuity vs. power quality in data centers – Lorenzo Giuntini (ABB)
Oral session: DC-DC converters for data centers – Klaus F. Hoffmann (Helmut Schmidt University)

Preliminary seminars with a practical focus
The PCIM seminars, to be held on June 7 and 8 at the Arvena Park Hotel, will allow you to acquire practical knowledge:
June 7: Monitoring and control with AI – Maher Al-Greer (Teesside University)
June 8: Magnetism for high power and AI – Ionel Dan Jitaru (Rompower Energy Systems)

Innovation, sustainability and trends
The program will also include:
Technology Stage: research in SiC and GaN
Exhibitor Stage: innovations from companies such as ROHM Semiconductor, Infineon Technologies, Nexperia and Fuji Electric
