“Embedded systems are now found in almost all smart devices and form the basis of Industry 4.0,” says Prof. Dr. Roland Fleck, CEO of NürnbergMesse Group. “Consequently, there is strong demand from abroad for another international industrial platform, which we will make available in the USA in the future.” Fleck’s co-CEO, Peter Ottmann, adds: “With our new events in the USA and China, we are also meeting the regional needs and desires of our exhibitors and trade visitors in these two key markets for the embedded systems industry, while simultaneously pursuing our own rigorous international growth program.”

The presence of major industry players such as AMD, Apple, Dell, Google, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Oracle, and Wincor Nixdorf makes Austin the perfect location for the inaugural Embedded World North America conference, to be held in two halls at the Austin Convention Center. "North America has traditionally played a key role in the development of the embedded systems industry, and it continues to do so with innovations," says Dr. Axel Sikora, President of the Embedded World Conference and Chairman of the Embedded World Advisory Board. "Therefore, we firmly believe that Embedded World North America will quickly find its place in the global embedded systems community. I look forward to this pioneering event."

By focusing on the future of the US market in collaboration with its partner WEKA FACHMEDIEN GmbH, NürnbergMesse will fulfill the wishes of embedded world exhibitors: In a survey of exhibitors, they expressed interest in participating in a US branch of embedded world: "Although there are several events in the US for the electronics sector, there isn't one that focuses on embedded systems," says Benedikt Weyerer, Executive Director of embedded world. "Now we are closing that gap with embedded world North America.".

The new event will be organized and managed by NürnbergMesse's US subsidiary, headquartered in Atlanta. "We will develop an exhibition and conference format that seamlessly adapts the successful design of Nuremberg's leading exhibition for our US customers, providing a platform for both experience and products," says Bill Ingwersen, Managing Director of NürnbergMesse North America
