After an intense competition among the nearly eighty projects received, a committee of experts from Siemens Spain evaluated and selected ten finalist candidates who presented their projects to the event attendees yesterday and argued reasons for receiving the award.
The start-up Green Energy Tracker was selected to move on to the final round of investors at Siemens AG in Germany, within the Next 47 project, a new unit that aims to foster the most powerful disruptive ideas and, in this way, accelerate the development of new technologies.

The 10 Start-Ups:
These are the ten projects that reached the final stage of the competition from among the nearly 80 proposals submitted since its launch several months ago:
Albufera Energy Storage:
Albufera Cells is a subsidiary of Albufera Energy Storage dedicated to the design, production, and marketing of rechargeable aluminum-air batteries for Smart Grid, electric vehicle, and telecommunications applications.
AXTER AEROSPACE:
AXTER AEROSPACE offers a hybrid propulsion system for aircraft (HYBPROP) that aims to bring to market an accessible product that improves flight safety, reduces aircraft operating costs, and is environmentally friendly, for all light aircraft manufacturers, drones, and end users.
CARTO:
CARTO is a leading company in the analysis and visualization of geolocated data, enabling any company or individual to discover and predict key information from geolocated data. Thanks to CARTO's platform, it's possible to create geolocated analytical tools without programming, facilitating decision-making at all levels.
Founded in 2012 by a team of experts in geospatial development, analytics, and visualization techniques, CARTO is headquartered in New York and Madrid, with additional offices in San Francisco and Estonia. CARTO has 100 employees and a portfolio of 1,200 clients, including BBVA, BCG, NYC, and Twitter, and more than 200,000 users worldwide. The company has secured over $31 million in funding from Accel Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, Vitamina K, Kibo Ventures, and Earlybird.
FutureSiSens
is a Technology-Based Company (EBT) backed by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), specializing in the development of gas flow sensors using its patented CMOS Silicon (Si) technology – a compatible thermoelectric (ET) technology – and an innovative "Smart Sensor Solution" for energy generation and intelligent detection.
Our sensors enable zero energy consumption, providing precise, real-time monitoring of gas flow variations, with applications in the medical, aeronautical, and smart building industries, aiming to improve safety and energy efficiency. FutureSiSens, SL's SiTerm project aims to provide innovative solutions in the field of intelligent gas flow detection and monitoring.
Control
is a start-up operating in the energy and ICT sectors. Founded in 2011 by a software developer and an industrial engineer, its aim was to provide a solution for clients and develop an idea: MVScada. A web-based system that maximizes the production of renewable energy generation facilities by optimizing and automating their management. Subsequent developments include a platform for real-time monitoring of energy meters, enabling optimized energy purchases on the wholesale market through highly accurate consumption pattern analysis. A new web-based SCADA system for controlling thermal processes in industry is also being developed. This is a joint venture with one of their clients, serving the L'Oreal factory in Burgos and the IVECO plant in Valladolid, among others. Currently, submetering systems via Wi-Fi are being developed using network analyzers from various manufacturers for integration into MVScada and ener.com.es.
The project submitted to the competition is Green Energy Tracker [GET]. This blockchain-based tracking system records green energy transactions, allowing for the verification and traceability of Guarantees of Origin and other associated certifications.
New Human Protection
NH – PROTECTIONS is a new company created to research, develop, manufacture, and market disruptive new products that offer innovative solutions for protecting human life.
Specifically, our first products will be derived from and related to a revolutionary new Electrical Protection System, the first and only system in the world capable of protecting the user from phase-to-neutral, phase-to-phase, or phase-to-ground contact, even in industrial environments.
PURETi
is a range of continuous environmental purification solutions—for both indoor and outdoor use—that breaks down and eliminates dirt, odors, bacteria, and other air pollutants in the presence of light through photocatalytic oxidation. This promotes the well-being and safety of people, improves the environment and sustainability of spaces, and reduces building maintenance costs. It is composed of water and fine titanium dioxide particles, without any chemicals (this solution is 100% mineral). It is applied by spraying onto all types of surfaces safely, transforming them into air purifiers using a basic principle found in nature: photocatalysis. It is the most feasible option for decontaminating cities (smart cities) and improving indoor air quality in hospitals, office buildings, schools, and residences. Blue Wave technology for smart cities.
Qubiotech Health Intelligence, SL
IQbrain is a cloud-based tool that supports the diagnosis of neurological diseases using PET scans. The software allows for the automatic estimation of multiple quantitative indices that complement the visual analysis and lead to greater diagnostic certainty.
Recarga tu Ciudad SL (Recharge Your City SL)
The RECARGADOR project consists of a kinetic energy-to-electrical energy converter, using a platform installed on our streets and roads to improve traffic efficiency by managing the residual energy generated by the engine, which is currently not recycled. It also serves as a smart speed bump and, when placed at highway and motorway exits, detects vehicles entering from the wrong direction.
Robotec Spinne
is a company that manufactures autonomous machines for the on-site maintenance of wind turbine bodies and blades.
It originated from the development of an innovative, patented technology for manufacturing a system that attaches to metal surfaces and can move across them without needing to be supported by a crane or similar device.
The innovation lies precisely in the way it adheres to and moves across metal surfaces and has been protected by a 20-year patent. The legs, through magnetic traction, adhere to the metallic surface of wind turbines, boat hulls, and even buildings, and for future applications on any metallic surface, and are moved by electric traction.
