The Mass Combi Ultra series consists of the references 12/3000-150, 24/3500-100 and 48/3500-50.
It incorporates innovative V6 high-frequency conversion technology combined with powerful and fast DSP controls, delivering significant benefits such as low no-load current, which prevents battery drain and offers extreme peak capacity so that large loads, like air conditioners, can start easily without voltage drops or flickering in the lighting system. The Mass Combi Ultra is 40% more powerful than Mastervolt's previous range of the same size Combi units.
The Mass Combi Ultra features separate AC inputs for the generator and mains power, and two separate AC outputs. The generator input can handle at least 12kW (50A), and the mains power up to 7kW (30A). Thanks to ultra-fast controls, there is seamless power transfer to and from the inverter. This ensures continuous power at the AC output without causing flickering or disconnection of sensitive devices, such as a computer. One of the two outputs is permanently powered to run critical loads, such as refrigerators or audio systems. The other output is for non-priority loads, such as a water heater, which can be automatically deactivated at a predetermined value, always prioritizing the critical loads.
On the DC side, the Mass Combi Ultra features a solar input and a second independent output. Mastervolt has leveraged its expertise in the grid-tied solar power business to develop an integrated, highly efficient MPPT solar charge controller. This second independent output can charge batteries with the same voltage as the service battery, as well as a 12V starter battery or the propulsion system battery if the service battery is 24V. This is a very useful feature that simplifies installation and reduces costs for the end user.
The Mass Combi Ultra 24/3500-100 can provide 3,500W of continuous inverter power at 40°C, with 200% peak power. The Mass Combi Ultra includes the most powerful battery charger in its class, delivering 100A at full load for rapid charging of the main battery. Pure DC voltage ensures flawless, interference-free operation of DC applications while extending battery life. Its design allows for parallel and three-phase operation for larger applications up to 35kW. Installation and connection are quick and easy thanks to its logical layout, solid terminals, and the elimination of cable glands. The non-preferential AC output can be customized via the MasterBus system.
