The IRAM630-1562F combines low-loss IR trench IGBTs, a high-voltage three-phase gate control IC, and a PFC input stage, integrating over 30 components into a single compact, insulated package. Built-in over-temperature/overcurrent protection, along with integrated undervoltage lockout and a built-in temperature monitor, provides a high level of protection and fail-safe operation. Additional integrated features, such as high-side drive diodes and a single-polarity power supply, simplify system design and reduce overall cost.
The open-emitter configuration of the IRAM630-1562F allows multi-tap current feedback for a sophisticated vector control loop in a V/Hz control loop, without circuit layout limitations. Over-temperature is detected internally and triggers a fault warning. EMI emissions are minimized due to shorter connection paths, optimized component routing, and internal shielding.
