This central inverter model delivers up to 1,637 kVA of power with a single unit, making it the solar inverter with the highest power density on the market, thanks to its more than 326 kW/m^3 (5.34W/in^3).

The INGECON SUN PowerMax Series B 1500 Vdc inverter family is equipped with a Smart Cooling System, which optimizes and reduces auxiliary power consumption. Furthermore, the latest generation electronic components are housed in an IP66 (NEMA 4) rated enclosure, protecting the unit from condensation and thus extending the lifespan of the power electronics.

This family of inverters can be installed both indoors (IP50) and outdoors (NEMA3/IP56) and can deliver its rated power at ambient temperatures up to 50°C (122°F). The new, improved inverter design simplifies both installation and wiring (DC and AC) as well as maintenance and repair. Product reliability has been assessed in a bankability and reliability report issued by Black & Veatch.

Thanks to its compact design, the inverter can be easily integrated into medium-voltage solutions or power stations that contain all the necessary equipment for large photovoltaic plants. In fact, up to three (3) inverters can be mounted within a single power station to achieve up to 4.91 MVA in a single medium-voltage unit.
