“From source to rack, ABB’s innovations support the rapid expansion and evolution of digital infrastructure for AI workloads,” said Sébastien Surply, Head of Critical Power at ABB Electrification. “This latest addition to our uninterruptible power supply (UPS) portfolio enhances the AI readiness of the MegaFlex DPA. Its modular design makes it ideal for data centers seeking scalable, ultra-high-efficiency power protection, and with universal voltage support and a 15-year design life, the MegaFlex DPA is built for global reach and long-term resilience.”
Designed to meet the exponential growth of AI workloads and real-time data processing, the MegaFlex DPA offers class-leading VFI efficiency of up to 97.6%, a modular architecture for seamless scalability, and true front access for simplified maintenance. The system supports distributed static internal branch architecture options and central static internal branch architecture, enabling configurations tailored to universal voltages (380/400/415/440/460/480 V, 50/60 Hz, with 3- or 4-wire connection flexibility) for IT, AI, and mechanical workloads.
The system's Xtra VFI mode dynamically adjusts active modules based on load, minimizing energy waste and reducing CO₂ emissions. Integrated with ABB's SmartTracker platform, MegaFlex DPA benefits from continuous remote monitoring and predictive maintenance information, helping operators maximize uptime, maintain peak efficiency, and extend system life in both local and global deployments.
