The Galaxy 300 system, available in 60kVA and 80kVA capacities, provides effective and reliable three-phase power protection to prevent downtime and data loss for mission-critical applications in a robust, easy-to-install, and cost-effective configuration. These new UPS systems also enable users to reduce operating and cooling costs with energy efficiency and total harmonic distortion of less than 3.5% at full load.
“Our mid- to low-level energy users and channel partners expressed a need for a system that offered greater power availability, reliability, manageability, and convenience,” said Sam Wu, Global Product Manager at Schneider Electric. “With the addition of the 60kVA and 80kVA models, the Galaxy 300 series, ranging from 10 to 80kVA, is designed to serve a wide variety of organizations while directly addressing the needs of customers and partners, offering best-in-class UPS performance with simplified installation, management and maintenance features, and enhanced efficiency and ease of use through an intuitive interface.”.
To ensure uptime and availability, the Galaxy 300 portfolio, ranging from 10 to 80 kVA, allows for standard installation with one or two independent power sources and utilizes a double-conversion online topology to provide some isolation between input and output with zero transfer time. A built-in 100% static nominal bypass switch prevents interruptions by allowing load transfer to the utility grid during heavy surges. Connected equipment can be powered by two UPSs connected in parallel to increase system redundancy. Additionally, the system provides users with options for backup power from the integrated battery, offering up to 10 minutes of runtime, or a robust charger for external batteries in racks or external cabinets, providing runtimes of up to four hours.
Designed for ease of use, users can monitor and manage energy requirements locally or remotely via a simple web or network management protocol interface. This highly graphical user interface is easy to read and features mimic diagrams and audible alarms, and is available in 18 languages.
The Galaxy 300 systems, ranging from 10 to 80 kVA, are also equipped with several features that enable easy installation, as well as tools to simplify compliance, maintenance, and service throughout the system's lifespan. An accessible maintenance bypass allows for complete isolation of each part of the system without power interruption, and features a push-and-slide door opening system for effortless maintenance in confined spaces. For time-saving installation, the compact wide or narrow tower configurations can be easily relocated to other installations, as all wiring connections are easily identifiable. The step-by-step guide and intuitive menu enable quick setup and system navigation.
The Galaxy 300 system includes the following additional features:
• A dual network input that allows the installation of the bracket with one or two independent power sources
• A power factor corrected input that avoids the need to oversize wiring, circuit breakers, and generators
• Runtime options for UPS systems with integrated and external batteries
• Availability of three-to-three and three-to-one power configurations for convenient distribution
• Compliant with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS)
The Galaxy 300 UPS system, ranging from 10 to 80 kVA, is available through Schneider Electric channel partners and electrical contractors.
