NVIDIA Tegra has ushered in a new generation of superphones and tablets with unprecedented experiences. Powered by the world's first mobile dual-core CPU, Tegra delivers hardware-accelerated Flash and brings HD video and console-quality gaming performance with the NVIDIA GeForce™ GPU.

The new high-performance CY8CTMA884 TrueTouch solution is the first single-chip controller for large multi-touch displays up to 11.6 inches. The CY8CTMA884 family offers 60 sensing I/O channels supporting up to 884 nodes on the screen—more than any other single-chip solution on the market. These additional sensing channels are crucial for achieving greater accuracy, linearity, support for smaller fingers, and the ability to distinguish between multiple fingers placed close together. It provides 10-finger touch support, low power consumption, grip and palm rejection, high accuracy, and fast scan times.

“We are thrilled to be working with NVIDIA on these new tablet designs,” said Derek Richardson, Director of the Large Touchscreen Business Unit at Cypress. “The NVIDIA Tegra processor and TrueTouch single-chip solution are ahead of the competition, and the result will be one of the highest-performing tablets available on the market.”.

Bill Henry, Director of Tegra Platform Management at NVIDIA, added: “Cypress is a leader in touchscreen technology, and we’re excited to work with them to deliver an exceptional touch experience on the new tablets featuring Tegra. Customers can now create tablets that consume less power and have a simpler design.”.
