Simatic WinCC V11 leverages the user-friendly approach of the TIA Portal, enabling intuitive and efficient configuration of Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), even in complex applications. The simple and unified operation of the various software products boosts efficiency, especially when interacting with Simatic Step 7 V11 software for programming Simatic controllers. For all applications, from simple control panels to SCADA systems, users employ the same editors, and all functions are presented and used in the same way. Data is easily transferred from one device to another, for example, by simple drag and drop. Consistent management within the TIA Portal eliminates the need for synchronization operations, which were previously essential.
Simatic WinCC V11 is the result of continuous refinement of Siemens' HNI software. New engineering features include, for example, symbolic addressing in Simatic S7-1200 controllers, a unified library-level philosophy, and new objects
Libraries. The range of runtime functions has also been expanded. These include F(x) Control for the new Comfort line panels and single-user PC systems, various drivers for communication with third-party systems and OPC UA (OPC Unified Architecture), and,
for example, the ability to upload data logs back to the engineering PC/programmer.
The new Simatic WinCC V11 is available in several versions: WinCC Basic for Simatic Basic panels and WinCC Comfort for all panels in the Simatic range. WinCC Advanced, combined with WinCC Runtime Advanced, also enables PC-based visualization at the
machine. The WinCC Professional version offers extensive SCADA functionality.
