The element14 chipKIT expansion board is the first to enable the development of 3.3V Arduino-compatible applications for Raspberry Pi, utilizing a high-performance 32-bit microcontroller in a prototype-ready package. This open-source tool allows users to benefit from the high performance of the PIC32 MCU, memory, and integrated peripherals while using basic hobbyist prototype equipment found in most home workshops.
The chipKIT Pi can be connected directly to the Raspberry Pi I/O Expansion header without any additional components, reducing design cost and complexity. Users can also take advantage of the extensive library of available Arduino tutorials, reference materials, and more to create a wide variety of designs.
