The XPLR-IOT-1 kit is a ready-to-use development platform with key IoT components and services for a wide range of use cases and applications. The kit includes GNSS, cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth technologies, along with cloud communication services.
It provides everything needed for immediate use, and initial setup is quick and easy. With just a few initial steps, the kit can publish data to the cloud and demonstrate a complete end-to-end solution, and a rechargeable battery enables portable operation. A low-power GNSS receiver provides accurate positioning data. The exploration kit also features integrated sensors for temperature, humidity, pressure, and ambient light, as well as a magnetometer, gyroscope, accelerometer, and battery indicator.

“The XPLR-IoT-1 Exploration Kit is much more than an evaluation board in a box. It has so much to offer: cellular, short-range, GNSS, and cloud connectivity,” said Josh Mickolio, manager of wireless and enterprise IoT development at Digi-Key. “It’s truly a technology hub that can be used to develop any sensor and connectivity application, and it’s something engineers can tailor to their needs. The flexibility in using this product is amazing, which is why we’re thrilled to help launch it!”
“We’re excited to launch Digi-Key’s XPLR-IoT-1 Kit, which incorporates all four u-blox product hubs, accelerating sensor-to-cloud demonstrations to quickly test design concepts,” said Chris Corrado, vice president of global distribution at u-blox. "Whether it's a sensor on XPLR-IoT-1 or using XPLR-IoT-1 to connect to a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi sensor, we are pleased to see how customers can shorten the proof-of-concept time and test our latest technologies."
