“Moore’s Law has been a driving force for innovation for the past half-century,” explains Vijay Ullal, Group President of Consumer and Automotive Solutions at Maxim. “But as the semiconductor industry approaches transistor scale limits, design engineers must look beyond the digital domain to find space for new features in smaller footprints. Maxim is strategically addressing this challenge with our TINI SoCs and codecs portfolio. Built using the latest processing and packaging technologies, TINI products offer the highest level of analog/mixed-signal integration available, so our customers can continue to make their products smarter by adding new capabilities and features,” Ullal added.
TINI's main portfolio products include:
• TINI Power SoCs – which integrate all the necessary functional blocks for power applications and baseband processors, along with crucial mixed-signal functions such as audio, battery management, and touchscreen control. These power SoCs allow mobile platform system designers to reduce the size of their analog components by half.
• TINI Touch-Screen Controller SoC (MAX11871) – integrates the industry's highest SNR capacitive AFEs with full back-end processing on the enhanced MaxQ CPU from Maxim, featuring a customizable DSP co-processor. A super narrowband AFE provides forward immunity to AC charger and LCD noise without external components.
• TINI Remote Cam SoC (MAX64180) – provides a complete audio/video subsystem with H.264 compression, an ARM® processor, and peripherals for home surveillance IP cameras. This integration allows for extremely small sizes, so end users can place the cameras virtually anywhere.
• TINI TV Cam SoC (MAX64180) – Offers a fully integrated solution for high-definition video cameras in smart TVs. This integration allows system designers to embed the video camera directly into the TV bezel.
• TINI Audio Codecs (MAX98089, MAX98095) – Combines several high-performance audio blocks with Maxim's FlexSound® processor. These audio codecs enable designers to overcome the challenges of mobile product integration and deliver the best audio experience.
