Tibidabo silica-plateIn addition to its 800 MHz quad-core ARM® Cortex™-A9 CPU, the Tibidabo board boasts a range of features to satisfy developers of high-end embedded applications such as digital signage, in-car infotainment, and gaming. Its payload includes 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, dual LVDS interfaces for directly controlling large high-definition display panels using standard 50-pin connectors, and a standard HDMI interface.
It features guest USB and USB "on-the-go" interfaces, along with an mSATA interface for solid-state drives from vendors like Micron. It also includes dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, expansion ports for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as SD card and PCIe Mini connectors for general expansion. Automotive systems are enabled through its ability to control instrument clusters, head-up displays (HUDs), rear-seat infotainment, visual systems, and front and rear POD audio systems.
Tibidabo is part of SILICA's ArchiTech software support strategy, which offers developers a unique, Yocto-based software platform, along with comprehensive training and support for hardware application experts (FAEs). The Yocto Project provides templates, tools, and methods to help create custom Linux-based systems for embedded products, regardless of the hardware architecture. The initiative benefits from SILICA's long-standing relationships with leading silicon suppliers, and all developed tools and boards have the full cooperation and support of these suppliers.
In addition to the standard sales order channel through SILICA's sales teams, all tools under the ARCHITECH umbrella are available for purchase through the Avnet Express channel, which allows credit card transactions for all customers.
