Studies have shown that electronic design engineers can spend up to 50% of their time procuring and managing data used in design tools. The 'PCB Part Library' provides immediate access to component models, freeing electronic engineers and PCB designers from the time-consuming task of manually debugging and maintaining their libraries.

The templates can be downloaded directly from the RS website in the 'Technical Documentation' section. Once selected, the schematics and PCB footprints are immediately available in the desired format.

“These tools can represent significant savings for any electronics development company,” commented Cameron Ward, Senior Vice President of Innovation at RS. “When these high-quality schematic symbols and component footprints are used with a leading PCB design tool, it creates a virtually error-free design process, saving time and money in building custom libraries.”.

“The DesignSpark tool, along with its community, is an important and rapidly growing initiative for electronic design engineers, enabling them to quickly create prototypes and bring products to market rapidly,” commented Alex MacDougall, CEO of SamacSys. “This new library service available through RS brings SamacSys’s free models to an even wider audience.”.
