The TLP2310 and TLP2710 have a 54% reduced power consumption of 6.78 mW, compared to a conventional product of 14.8 mW, such as the TLP2355. Both have been certified to UL1577 and EN60747-5-5 standards, making them ideal for applications requiring high isolation performance, such as AC drives, servo amplifiers, I/O interface boards, photovoltaic devices, and automation equipment.
The TLP2310 and TLP2710 integrate a highly reliable, high-performance, high-power infrared LED that provides excellent lifespan characteristics and reduces the inrush current threshold by 38% compared to a conventional product. By assembling a light receiver IC using a Bi-CMOS process on the output side, each photocoupler has a low supply current of 0.3 mA max, which is approximately 90% lower than the conventional product. Furthermore, by maintaining the inrush current threshold at 1 mA (max), they support direct, unbuffered control by a microcomputer, helping to reduce power consumption and system costs.
Both photocouplers support an operating temperature of 125 °C (max) and a power supply voltage range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V. This contributes to voltage reduction for devices using these products.
Housed in packages with a maximum height of 2.3 mm, the TLP2310 is available in a 5-pin SO6 package, with a minimum creepage distance of 5 mm and a minimum insulation voltage of 3.75 kVrms. The TLP2710 is housed in an SO6L package, with a minimum creepage distance of 8 mm and a minimum insulation voltage of 5 kVrms.
