The latest addition to Microchip's compiler line, MPLAB XC-DSC, is optimized to enable developers to write and debug high-performance, efficient code for DSC dsPICs more easily and efficiently. DSC dsPICs offer the high performance of a digital signal processor (DSP) and the simplicity of a standard microcontroller to meet the requirements of time-critical embedded applications.
The PRO license for the MPLAB XC-DSC compiler provides access to optimizations that allow designers to minimize code size, generate code faster, reduce memory and processing power requirements, and unlock the full potential of DSC designs. Unlike traditional licenses, Microchip offers project-based or on-demand access to the software, lowering costs and increasing flexibility.
Available licenses:
• Workstation: Installs and runs on up to three machines for a single engineer
• Network Server: Installs on a server and is accessible to any machine on the network, one at a time
• Subscription: Similar to a Workstation license, with monthly renewal
• Site: Accessible simultaneously to a set of machines/users at the same time
MPLAB XC compilers, which are compatible with Linux®, macOS®, and Windows® operating systems, allow designers to use their favorite platform for embedded development.
Development Tools:
MPLAB XC compilers simplify the design process and accelerate time to market by providing a complete toolset consisting of compatible compilers and debuggers/programmers that work seamlessly within the MPLAB X Integrated Development Environment (IDE). MPLAB X IDE is a versatile, cross-platform, and free software program that reduces the learning curve and investment in the tools required for software development.
