The IW610 SoCs are a reliable and versatile option for devices in smart homes, point-of-sale terminals, electric vehicle (EV) chargers, smart appliances, gateways, and other Internet of Things (IoT) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications.

The NXP Semiconductors IW610 IoT range, available now at Mouser, integrates Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) 5.4, and 802.15.4 radios into a compact solution. The Wi-Fi 6 subsystem improves network efficiency, reduces latency, and extends range, while the Bluetooth LE radio enables long-range communication with high-speed data rates.

Featuring 802.15.4 radio for Thread mesh networks, the IW610 SoCs are also ideal for Matter-compatible applications. The IW610 series incorporates NXP's EdgeLock® security technology, which protects boot processes, firmware updates, and lifecycle management. These IoT-optimized Wi-Fi 6 tri-radio modules, based on the IW610, are compatible with a wide range of modules, including MCX host platforms, i.MX RT processors, and NXP i.MX microprocessors, and offer various interfaces for connecting to external processors.

They have features for managing power, such as a "deep-sleep" mode, a low-power mode, an integrated and highly efficient step-down DC-DC converter, activation via generic I/O pins, host interface activity, and timers.

The FRDM-IMX91 board with IW610, also available from Mouser, is a compact, low-cost development tool showcasing NXP's i.MX 91 application processor and can be used for developing secure wireless applications.
