These new components offer complete isolation despite their small size by integrating the primary conductor to measure nominal currents of 10A, 12A, 16A, or 20A with a measurement range equivalent to 2.5 times the nominal current. They can also withstand high overcurrents of up to 200A peak and short duration (1 ms).

The transducers are mounted directly onto a printed circuit board as an SMD SO8 device, thus reducing manufacturing costs and offering significant space savings for applications with limited space.

GHS models are really easy to use because they integrate low-resistance primary conductors (which minimizes power losses) within an ASIC to allow direct current measurement and consistent isolation, as well as providing large drift and creepage distances.

All models offer a ratiometric analog voltage output with different sensitivity levels between 40 and 80 mV/A depending on the model, with a typical response time of 5 μs.

GHS transducers are not simple open-loop Hall-effect ASIC-based transducers; this series has been designed with unique integrated primary gradient-measuring drivers to provide excellent immunity to external fields found in power electronics applications.

These special designs combine proven techniques, such as winding and programmable internal temperature compensation (EEPROM), ensuring a high level of accuracy across the entire temperature range with a maximum offset drift of 1.3% and a gain drift of 1.5%.
The GHS series operates from a single 5V source and over a wide temperature range of -40 to +125°C, making it ideal for any industrial application in harsh environments.

Unique in its encapsulation and performance, the GHS series is ideal for applications such as household appliances or air conditioning systems, which benefit from this cost-effective, high-performance solution for isolated current measurement. The GHS series also improves motor control by reducing energy consumption in areas where other methods, such as shunts, have traditionally been used.

LEM's GHS models are designed for use in a wide variety of applications, including uninterruptible power supplies and switched-mode power supplies, household appliances, static converters for DC motor drives, and robotics.

The GHS series meets the latest industry standards and comes with LEM's five-year warranty.
