The solution is based on the new Modicon M221, M241 and M251 controllers programmed with the So Machine automation platform and is composed of the following elements:
● LAD5C: Connection module for motor starters with a control voltage of 24 VDC and connection via screw terminals
● LU9R: Prefabricated RJ45 cable
● TM3XTYS4: I/O module with 4 channels, each channel controls a motor starter and is responsible for supplying the 24 VDC control voltage
● Motor starter: composed of Tesys D (contactor + circuit breaker) or Tesys U, up to 30KW and with direct start or reversing rotation.
The controller manages motor starts and receives alarms through a UTP cable connection.
TeSys SoLink is integrated into the SoMachine software, which includes motor starting as a library component. Furthermore, the system features a motor starting monitoring and control application that allows real-time monitoring of the circuit breaker and contactor contact status, as well as control of forward and reverse operation from various remote control points, such as a human-machine interface screen, a workstation, or even a tablet.
As for its advantages, TeSys SoLink is 20 times faster than a wired system, is 100% upgradeable and expandable, has a 0% risk of connection errors thanks to its completely intuitive interface, and offers 100% availability throughout the machine's lifecycle. Furthermore, it's worth noting that its installation is very quick and easy, requiring only one cable between the I/O logic controller and each motor starter.
