The design includes an internal adaptive algorithm that allows the module to "learn" about GPS signal parameters after two days of connection, triggering the Holdover function in case of signal loss. An integrated internal alarm reports signal connection errors and subsequent recovery. Additionally, the module includes a serial connection for obtaining further information on component performance. In terms of frequency, it boasts an accuracy of ±0.005 ppb when connected to an external 1 PPS signal and can compete in performance with various atomic clocks.
The module's standard operating temperature range is -40 to 85°C. Requiring a 3.3V supply voltage, it features a standard HCMOS output signal. Current consumption is a maximum of 750 mA during warm-up and 350 mA after reaching steady state.
The IQCM-160 offers a 1PPS, 10MHz output and a UART interface for device management with a fixed baud rate of 115200, using one stop bit and no parity.
The IQCM-160 is designed for numerous applications, including land-based communication systems and marine navigation systems. It is part of a series of specialized modules and oven-controlled crystal oscillators (OCXOs) marketed by IQD.
