Among the new products in the 2018 catalog, in the EMC component segment, are the expansions of the TVS diode series. Their extremely low capacitance and high robustness against ESD voltages up to ±30 kV (air/contact) make these new transient voltage suppressor diodes a perfect component for protecting high-speed data lines such as USB 3.1 and their power lines. Regarding power magnets, three SMT products stand out: The WE-HCF flat wire power inductor is now available in round wire and stranded wire versions. These high-current inductors offer improved coplanarity and high mechanical stability thanks to a plastic base. The round wire variant is available with inductance values ​​up to 680 μH, and the stranded wire variant with values ​​up to 150 μH. The WE-MCRI is the first double or coupled inductor in its class with a molded construction. Two identical windings of round wire, compacted with a powdered metal doped material, form a compact component with outstanding electrical performance and improved EMC behavior. Finally, WE-MTCI is a double inductor with different turns ratios between windings (1:1.5; 1:2; 1:3).
Components with AEC-Q200 qualification
The Würth Elektronik eiSos product range, with AEC-Q200 qualification, now includes another series. The first high-current inductor in the Q+ product segment is named WE-CHSA. The component's patented design ensures optimal centering of the air gap within the inductor, thus enabling a saturation current of up to 57 A.
In the communications components segment, the 2018 catalog introduces the new WE-LAN ​​AQ series. In addition to standard LAN products such as routers and switches, the LAN transformers are particularly well-suited for industrial Ethernet systems like EtherCAT or Profinet and are distinguished by their long transmission range.
