The German company Siko has developed a multi-turn absolute magnetic encoder with a programmable analog output. Featuring 12-bit resolution and a "teach-in" function, the output can be adjusted from 0-10 V or 4-20 mA to any encoder shaft rotation angle between 22.5° and 65,536 turns using two keys.
The adjustment can also be made remotely. It has an IP64 protection rating and can operate in a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
When coupled to a cable transducer from the same manufacturer, it allows obtaining an analog signal proportional to a linear displacement between 12.5 mm and 6 meters.
