It expands the EKMC (170µA) PaPIRs family for battery-free devices and the EKMB (1µA, 2µA, and 6µA) for battery-powered devices. Mounted on walls, ceilings, or corners with a typical detection range of 5 m, the digital versions have preset switching thresholds and are temperature compensated.
Output "1" indicates movement, and "0" means no detection.
The analog sensor can be used whenever sensitivity adjustment is required.
Because the entire sensor is as flat as 10.9 mm, since the amplifier circuitry is already integrated into the analog PaPIRs, this latest addition to Panasonic Industry's motion sensor family clearly surpasses conventional products on the market in terms of design efficiency and compatibility.
Speaking of compatibility: Thanks to the uniform pinout of all EKM sensor variants, maximum flexibility of choice is guaranteed during the design process.
