The MonoDAQ-E-gMeter can measure acceleration between +/- 2g and +/- 8g and has a typical bandwidth of -3dB at 1000Hz. With only 25µg/√Hz spectral noise density and 100µg of residual noise at 50Hz, it is a suitable solution for seismic measurements. Although the MonoDAQ-E-gMeter measures acceleration, it can also be used to accurately measure displacement by integrating the acceleration twice and applying appropriate filtering. This task is simplified by the DEWESoft software environment, and the results demonstrate high accuracy even at a low frequency of 1.5 Hz. Multiple modules can be daisy-chained with network cables (SFTP) at node-to-node distances of up to 50 meters. The EtherCAT network connects to a PC that acquires the data; the PC can then perform data analysis or transmit the information to a cloud infrastructure.
The MonoDAQ-E-gMeter includes a DEWESoft-LT software license. DEWESoft data acquisition software offers hundreds of ready-made calculation, visualization, and analysis functions that require no user programming, including: time domain recorder; XY recorder; FFT recorder; rangefinder; triggered storing; GPS; video; statistics (RMS, peak-to-peak, STDV, etc.); IIR and FIR filters; integration; derivation; matrix and vector analysis; and export to Excel, Matlab, and Flexpro. Subject to an additional license, the software also offers advanced engineering modules: sequencer; modal analysis; order tracing; torsional vibration; fatigue analysis; human vibration; combustion analyzer; sound level and intensity measurement; and custom C++ plugins. Since the MonoDAQ-E-gMeter modules interface with software over EtherCAT, they can function as a standard EtherCAT slave device and can therefore be integrated into any EtherCAT master system, including Beckhoff TwinCAT, NI Labview, and Matlab.
