This means that with the maximum installed memory option (Option /M3), in single-shot mode, a 10 kHz signal lasting more than one hour can be captured. The same memory can capture a 200 ms signal at a sampling rate of 1.25 GS/s.
Additionally, the flash memory capacity has been increased from 0.1 GB to 0.33 GB, and a new 7.2 GB internal memory expansion option has been introduced.
Several improvements have also been made to the history function: Yokogawa's unique capability allows the instrument to capture and repeat numerous individual acquisitions, displayed either one by one or cumulatively. Using search and measurement functions, it is possible to quickly isolate, analyze, and classify such a signal of interest without the need to configure complex triggers to capture unusual events.
In the improved DLM2000, the maximum number of waveforms stored in the history has been increased from 20,000 to 50,000, and the default setting has been changed to "All" so that all waveforms saved in the history function are displayed with a single click of the "History" key. The zone search function has also been improved, now including a more intuitive search that covers all waveforms stored in the history and is 20 times faster than the original version.
Combined with a continuous acquisition rate of 20,000 waveforms per second, increased from 450,000 in single-mode N, the history memory in the DLM2000 allows for the capture and detection of abnormal signals without prior knowledge of their unusual behavior.
Yokogawa offers many of its firmware packages as separate items so customers can purchase and install them themselves without having to send their equipment to the factory. A one-month free trial period is available for all these new packages.
The firmware packages include dedicated software for power analysis options, as well as serial bus analysis, including CAN/LIN and FlexRay options.
The DLM2000 family offers 2- or 4-channel oscilloscopes with up to 500 MHz bandwidth and a sampling rate of up to 2.5 GS/s, along with more acquisition memory and a faster refresh rate (up to 450,000 waveforms per second). The DLM2000 series provides a flexible combination of analog and digital inputs, a large display, and a highly ergonomic, comfortable, and compact design.
Combined with advanced search and parameter/cursor measurement capabilities, two independent zoom windows allow users to view two portions of acquired waveforms separated in time. This makes it possible to quickly find, measure, and analyze the cause-and-effect details of an anomaly, which could be on the same or different channels. They also make it possible to view and compare the details and timings of different serial buses that may be running at different speeds.
The DLM2000 is based on a user-friendly, portable design with a large display positioned above the control buttons, bringing them closer to the user's eye. The intuitive controls are arranged so that a user can see at a glance which channels and functions are active, allowing for quick measurements and adjustments.
Users can automatically or manually split the display to separate waveforms from each channel individually while maintaining full resolution and dynamic range, making it easy to see the details of all signals, regardless of the number of channels in use.
The DLM2000 allows the user to simultaneously capture analog and digital signals. At the touch of a button, the fourth analog channel becomes eight digital channels, transforming the DLM2000 into a mixed-signal oscilloscope. This makes it possible to view three analog and eight digital signals simultaneously, as well as additional control and logic signals. The digital channels can be used to analyze I2C, SPI, and UART serial buses, while the analog channels remain available for other types of signals.
The optimized and dedicated ScopeCORE IC hardware architecture in the DLM2000 enables real-time signal measurement and processing. This means that using more channels does not affect the waveform acquisition rate, and measurements are always performed at high speed.
Other key features include powerful triggering functionality, real-time filtering, automatic parameter measurement and statistical analysis, parameter trending and histogram visualization, and FFT analysis.
