Connected devices are essential in modern factories. The SOM-2569 integrates Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, along with two 1000base-T interfaces to meet both wireless and wired connectivity requirements. By including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in the module, the SOM-2569 complies with IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac PCIe Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 and is RF certified. Advantech's rigorous design and testing processes allow it to deliver not only improved wireless signal integrity and compatibility but also time savings during system integration. Furthermore, the SOM-2569 includes two LAN controllers supporting two RJ45 ports. Its combined design provides flexibility in various industrial applications that require isolated network domains for security and reliability reasons. TPM (Trusted Platform Module) is defined by the Trusted Computing Group based on publicly available specifications. The hardware chip provides system protection and encompasses secure data storage, platform integrity reporting, and platform authentication.
UEFI Secure Boot is a process that ensures the computer boots only with software trusted by the manufacturer. At startup, the firmware checks the signature of each part of the boot software, including the firmware drivers (optional ROMs) and the operating system. If the signatures are correct, the PC boots and the firmware hands control over to the operating system.

The SOM-2569 features all components soldered, including the CPU, memory, storage, and wireless networking chips. These soldered components provide robustness and reliability for operation in harsh environments. The module has passed rigorous testing for vibration at 0.028 G²/Hz, 3.5 Grms, impacts on one corner, three edges, and six sides, and thermal resistance between -40°C and 85°C with a variation of 10°C per minute, among other tests. Advantech's rigorous testing has demonstrated that the SOM-2569 is ideal for harsh environments.
