The evolution of thermal management. The dispensing of in-situ curing gap fillers is expected to become the dominant technique for placing thermal materials in electronic assemblies, as sectors such as automotive electronics, telecommunications equipment, and energy-efficient lighting demand higher production capacity, thinner glue lines, and reduced mechanical stress on components and solder joints. This trend will drive changes in the characteristics and handling of thermal materials, as well as in assembly processes and the equipment used in factories.

The perception of a good product often stems directly from the appearance of the front panel or graphical user interface: Is it visually appealing? Is it functional? Is it easy to use? For electronic systems and equipment requiring a graphical user interface, TFT LCD display modules have become a widely used option.

In segments where power electronics are already in use, the market demands improved semiconductors for greater efficiency. This translates into a continuous race to develop IGBT designs that offer reduced conduction and switching losses. For increased reliability and a greater safety margin in single-phase and multi-level configurations, the challenge is to offer 650V devices while maintaining switching performance and conduction characteristics.

When considering costs, it's important to compare total system costs and not just focus on the purchase price of the power supply. It's always advisable to consider choosing between different power supplies depending on the application. With PULS, there are two 960W options that can be considered the best choice depending on the specific application.

MathWorks has released new versions of two products, Robust Control Toolbox and Simulink Control Design, which allow engineers to automatically fine-tune complex control systems modeled in Simulink.
Most embedded control systems have a fixed, decentralized architecture with simple, adjustable elements such as gains, PID controllers, and low-order filters. Enhancements in Robust Control Toolbox and Simulink Control Design allow engineers to automatically adjust all controller elements without changing the controller structure. This eliminates the need for tedious and time-consuming tuning methods for multi-loop and decentralized control systems, such as sequential loop closure.

The Polar series of MOSFETs from IXYS are optimized to deliver superior performance in power-critical designs. They are engineered to achieve low Rdson while maintaining low Qg values, as well as low thermal resistance values due to reduced chip thickness. This results in reduced switching and conduction losses.
