The Aerospike database is optimized to run on Flash and SSD devices and is able to deliver high performance and low latency on Flash.

“At Aerospike, we appreciate the collaborative efforts with companies like KIOXIA to continually improve our products,” said Paul Jensen, Aerospike’s Vice President of Technology and Infrastructure Partners. “By working with KIOXIA and testing the application’s software patch, we’ve achieved a significant improvement in the performance of our community-edited database.”.

By combining KIOXIA's XL-FLASH SCM solution, the PCIe 4.0 and NVMe 1.4 compatible KIOXIA FL6 series SSDs bridge the gap between TLC and DRAM-based drives. This makes them ideal for latency-sensitive use cases such as caching, tiering, and write logging. Already in mass production, the dual-port FL6 drives offer high endurance (60 DWPD) and are available in capacities up to 3200 GB.

“KIOXIA’s advancements don’t stop at the broad portfolio of SSD products we currently offer to data centers. We are also committed to advancing innovative solutions that will improve storage latency and application performance,” added Paul Rowan, Vice President of SSD Marketing and Engineering at KIOXIA Europe GmbH. “Thanks to our close collaboration with Aerospike, we have fully realized the potential of our FL6 Series low-latency SCM SSDs, bridging the performance gap between existing volatile memories and NAND Flash through our XL-FLASH solution.”.

Detailed results of the Aerospike test will be presented during KIOXIA's keynote address on Tuesday, August 2, at 11:00 a.m. at the Flash Memory Summit.
