long-range technology leads to a more reliable battery solution. It enables synchronous module-level measurements to the BMS host using Dukosi's proprietary contactless communication protocol based on C-SynQ®.
Dukosi presented DK-NFLNK™ this week at Embedded World in Nuremberg, Germany.

The DK-NFLNK demonstrator on display represents a standard 12-cell battery module configuration, typical of 400-800 V battery packs used in electric vehicles (xEVs) and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
The design utilizes the DK8503 EVK Node board with an integrated antenna, which connects to an industry-available multi-channel analog front end (AFE) for cell monitoring. The DK8503 Node transmits module data synchronously and securely using Dukosi's proprietary near-field communication protocol, via a simple bus antenna, to the BMS host using the DK8203 System Hub.

According to Joseph Notaro, Chief Revenue Officer at Dukosi:
“The DK-NFLNK proof-of-concept demonstrates how our highly secure and reliable communications solution can easily upgrade existing modular battery architectures to a more scalable and reliable design, without requiring any modification to the battery architecture.
Leveraging Dukosi’s proven C-SynQ communications protocol, this connectivity solution eliminates complex wiring and fault-prone connectors between the modules and the BMS host processor, while ensuring data integrity and synchronization.
DK-NFLNK is also AFE-compatible, enabling seamless integration with a wide range of cell monitoring solutions.”
