This forces users to have multiple battery chargers to accommodate different batteries depending on their charging requirements. Otherwise, the battery or charger could be damaged if there is an abnormal connection or an incorrect match between the battery and charger. Furthermore, it is always difficult for users to find or understand how to select the right charger on the market when they need to replace it.
MEAN WELL, represented by Electrónica Olfer, has just announced and launched the new ENC series programmable smart charger (180W) to address this type of problem for customers. A single ENC model would replace all such chargers, selected based on their charging parameters or battery capacity. With just one charger, we could adapt to multiple battery types. Designed with a microprocessor and a unique programmable function, it allows for easy configuration of different parameters such as charge level, output voltage, and charging current via software using the SBP-001 converter and a PC. One of the main features of the ENC chargers is their operating temperature range, from -30℃ to +70℃, achieved through free air convection, which eliminates fan noise and extends the product's lifespan. The ENC series is used in portable power tools, radio systems installed outdoors or in basements, surveillance systems, etc. The ENC charger family offers four power levels: 120W, 180W, 240W, and 360W. All models are currently available on the market.
