The Intensium® Home 10M has been developed to complement Saft's wide range of energy storage systems. In a new collaboration with KACO new energy GmbH, one of Germany's leading inverter brands, Saft has launched the Intensium® Home 10M, which was developed in conjunction with KACO's new three-phase inverter. This Saft and KACO package is the perfect solution for the growing number of residential and commercial 'prosumers' (producers and consumers) who are looking to maximize their self-consumption.
Intensium® Home 10M partners with KACO's new inverter.
The new 240V Intensium® Home 10M consists of five lithium-ion modules, providing both high-power capacity (10 kW) and 10 kWh of energy storage in an aesthetically pleasing cabinet specifically designed for residential and commercial installations. This high-power Li-ion system is ideal for use with KACO's new 14.0 TL3 power inverter in installations up to 30 kW. This combination will help small businesses and residential consumers boost their clean energy self-consumption. Prosumers will be able to monitor system performance from their smartphones.
“Saft is a leader in Li-Ion energy storage systems, while KACO new energy is one of the world’s top 10 inverter brands. Together, we form a great team that provides customers with a complete package, fully validated and tested in real-world residential settings. This approach paves the way for us to quickly deliver an effective energy storage and management solution,” said Volker Dietrich, Energy Director of the Systems Technology Division at KACO new energy. “This partnership will allow Saft and KACO new energy to conduct joint promotion, training, knowledge transfer, and leverage existing sales channels.”.
Intensium® Home 10M, ready for swarm operation.
The combination of Saft's Li-ion energy storage and KACO new energy inverter offers advanced energy management with the ability to operate as part of swarm-type schemes. These swarms allow for the integration of multiple decentralized energy storage installations to improve grid stability, helping to balance supply and demand, and providing financially attractive complementary services for grid operators, such as frequency control. The intelligent energy management system enables remote control of the storage device via internet interfaces or other communication channels, for example, to adjust the frequency regulation of self-consumption.
