These batteries are easy to handle, move, and install, using cable connectors with insulated terminals. OPzV batteries are ready for immediate use in both vertical and horizontal installations.
Its self-discharge rate is very low, less than 50% over two years at a temperature of 20°C, a temperature at which it can be used for 400 cycles when discharged at a rate of 10 hours to the cutoff voltage of 1.8V/cell. Despite this, this battery is protected against deep discharge, allowing loads to be connected to the battery for up to four weeks.
Due to its gel electrolyte composition, internal short circuits and acid stratification are not possible, therefore it does not require equalized charging.
