They are manufactured with pure lead electrodes, offering the highest power, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature operation, enabling significant savings in air conditioning, which translates into a considerable reduction in CO2 emissions and substantial energy savings. Compared to traditional AGM batteries, Sprinter Pure Power provides a significant reduction in the total cost of ownership (TCO) of the data center, thanks to 20% more energy in high-rate discharges, space savings of between 15% and 20%, and a design life of >12 years (Eurobat Classification) and reduced recharging costs due to its excellent charging efficiency. The thin plate design of Sprinter Pure Power ensures maximum energy transfer, and the special polypropylene container reduces water vapor emissions and extends maintenance-free life.
In addition to UPS systems for data centers, Sprinter Pure Power also offers opportunities in applications such as UPS as backup (UPSaaR) and distributed energy resources (DER), as well as network service provided by operators in various industries.
“These advanced pure lead-acid AGM batteries for UPS and data center applications are produced on fully automated manufacturing lines, with systematic quality controls at every stage of production,” explained Serge Arbes, Senior Commercial Director of Global Energy Solutions at Exide Technologies. “Thanks to its closed-loop recycling and the use of solar energy from one of Europe’s largest solar energy storage parks, the Sprinter Pure Power has the lowest possible CO2 footprint.”
