It is ideal for a variety of IoT devices, from smart meters to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Bluetooth beacons (BLE), real-time clocks (RTEs), and other common electronic devices.
Unlike most battery technologies, CeraCharge™ is based on a multilayer technology that resembles the structure of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs). Its solid ceramic electrolyte eliminates the risk of fire, explosion, or leakage that can occur with conventional liquid electrolytes.
One of the smallest devices in its class, CeraCharge™ comes in a compact EIA 1812-sized enclosure that integrates easily into a variety of IoT devices. It is a highly flexible solution that can be reflow-soldered and connected in series or parallel, easily adapting to multiple design requirements. It can withstand operating temperatures from -20°C to +80°C, meaning it can be safely used in a wide range of applications.
CeraCharge™ has a long lifespan and, therefore, as a power supply, offers high reliability for over 1,000 charge cycles. Its nominal capacity of 100µAh is approximately 1,000 times greater than that of a conventional capacitor, while maintaining the same size.
Other product features include its small size (4.4 x 3.0 x 1.1 mm), a nominal voltage of 1.5 V, an operating voltage of up to 1.6 Vop, and a nominal discharge current of 20 µA.
