20W DC/DC converters for railway applications, with 4:1 input
RECOM's RP20-FR series 20W DC/DC converters with isolation have been specially developed for railway applications, but can also be perfectly used in industrial and telecommunications applications.
The compact 2"x1" modules offer a wide 4:1 input voltage range (9-36V, 18-75V, 43-160V), thus covering all onboard battery networks specified in the standard, including the ±40% tolerance range. Along with versions with 3.3V, 5V, 12V, and 15V single outputs, dual versions with ±12V and ±15V are also available. The control pin logic can be selected as positive or negative.
The converter achieves an efficiency rating of 89% and a wide operating temperature range (Tx) of -40°C to +85°C (HC version). Cooling is achieved via natural convection; when required by the application, the converters can also be supplied with a pre-mounted heat sink.
The modules comply with EN50155 including EN50121-1-3-2 and EN61373 standards and are UL/cUL-60950-1 certified. As is standard practice with RECOM, these modules come with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty. Samples are now available from all authorized distributors.
