The SKW3ZC board is equipped with pulse transformers to trigger the 6 thyristors with a galvanic isolation of 4,000 Vac, incorporates a protection fuse and can be powered by 230 Vac or 400 Vac, the board has a green LED indicator (power) and a yellow LED indicator (trigger pulses).
The W3C 400V/0 – 400V – 650A converter incorporates RC networks as protection for the thyristors to dampen overvoltages caused by thyristor switching or voltage spikes that may arrive through the power line and the thyristors are cooled by an aluminum heat sink called LE301 with a length of 325 mm, connected to a SEMIKRON SKF 16A-230-11 tangential fan.
Typical applications of this three-phase static converter with zero-crossing switching on each phase for alternating loads include: industrial temperature heating of electric ovens, control of incandescent lamps, transformers, etc.
