The new Quint DC/DC converters feature a dynamic power reserve. For starting heavy loads, the dynamic boost delivers double the output power for 5 seconds. Selective Fuse Breaking Technology (SFB) provides a current six times higher for 15 ms, sufficient to protect DC electrical circuits. Standard circuit breakers are selectively tripped, and parallel-connected loads continue to operate. Static boost, with up to 125% sustained power, allows for easy expansion of the installation.
The extensive signaling system with analog, digital and relay contacts also allows for preventive monitoring of the installation's operation.
Also new is the free choice between push-in and screw connection technology. Furthermore, IECEx approval allows for use in hazardous areas. With a wide operating temperature range from -25 °C to +70 °C, the devices offer flexible use and can also function in ambient temperatures as low as -40 °C. Signaling thresholds and characteristic curves can be individually adjusted via the NFC interface.
