The development of VPT's new SVR series of space feeder products is based on over 20 years of experience in space missions, working with organizations such as NASA, ESA, Boeing, EADS, Thales, and Astrium (SSTL). The new series comprises 23 new modules across seven product families, all based on existing designs with proven performance in the space environment and available with MIL-PRF-38534 Class K certification.
These are the first power conversion products on the market designed and manufactured in accordance with Aerospace Corporation's MIL-HDBK-1547 and TOR requirements. The SVR series is particularly well-suited for low Earth orbit (LEO), medium Earth orbit (MEO), geostationary orbit (GEO), deep space, and vehicle launch programs.
The VPT SVR series also boasts the highest levels of radiation resistance, with a Total Ionizing Dose (TID) of 100 krad(Si). Exclusively for VPT, these products feature Enhanced Low Dose Rate Sensitivity (ELDRS) for maximum reliability. The Single Event Effects (SEE) value for these products is 85 MeV-cm²/mg. All modules have been submitted to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for Standard Microcircuit Drawings (SMDs), and most modules are available in SMD.
“VPT is proud to bring the SVR series to Spain for the next generation of space programs,” stated Monty Pile, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “It builds on our 20-year history of working with customers on space fueling programs, such as GPS II and III, as well as the Venus Express spacecraft. We have dedicated significant effort to R&D for product development and certification to ensure they meet all the requirements of space programs. With the addition of TOR requirements development, the SVR series offers the most advanced and best-suited products to fuel the space missions of tomorrow, all delivered to customers with some of the shortest lead times on the market.”
