ftdipr31webThe EVE platform, introduced in February 2013, aims to completely transform how engineers create human-machine interfaces (HMIs) for QVGA and WQVGA-based displays. Its unique object-oriented approach enables more advanced HMIs across a wide range of applications, including display, audio, and touch functionality. It achieves this while minimizing bill of materials costs, reducing board footprint, and shortening the development process typically associated with such solutions.

The VM800C module, which utilizes a highly integrated FT800 EVE controller IC, is available in 3.5, 4.3, or 5-inch LCDs; each LCD integrates a 4-wire resistive touchscreen. The module also provides a mono audio output and incorporates an audio power amplifier and a micro-speaker. It can be powered via a 2.1mm jack, an SPI master connector, or its own Micro-B USB port. The module features a standard SPI interface, allowing any microcontroller with this I/O to be easily connected using EVE technology. With similar functionality to the VM800C, the VM800B systems are supplied with the same display size options. The main difference is that the display and printed circuit board are designed to fit securely into a plastic-fronted enclosure, providing easy access to the power and interface ports. It is available in black or pearl gray finishes.
