The ADK module demonstrates how to create applications such as remote speakers and microphones, walkie-talkies, and baby monitors. It can stream music from smartphones to a remote speaker or headphones, transmit voice from the demo board to the smartphone, or be used in walkie-talkie mode for two-way communication.
The Audio ADK includes the audio interface, the hardware design package, and the software, with mobile APIs and reference applications for iOS-based smartphones. There is also an evaluation version, the Audio Application Evaluation Kit (AEK), which includes only the hardware and the software executable files.
The software includes a complete audio, Wi-Fi, and networking stack application, including mDNS/DNS-SD methods for locating devices and services available on the network. New applications can be quickly developed based on these reference examples.
