The sensor operates at temperatures between -40 °C and 150 °C and measures gas and liquid pressures from 2 to 70 bar, while also withstanding freezing conditions. Its ability to measure gaseous and liquid states and withstand freezing means the sensor can function under virtually any environment. It can be integrated as a standalone device or incorporated into expansion valves, electric compressors, or pumps in electric vehicle thermal management systems. Developed as an ASIL A SEooC (ISO 26262) device, it ensures a high level of safety and reliability in automotive applications. The CI MLX90830 is also a suitable option for air conditioning applications.
