The Murata WSM-BL241 module leverages the powerful Nordic nRF52832 SoC to provide high-performance, low-power Bluetooth connectivity between smartphones, tablets, and other devices. The low-power nRF52832 SoC combines an embedded Arm® Cortex®-M4 core, 512 KB of flash memory, and 64 KB of RAM with a 2.4 GHz multiprotocol radio. The WSM-BL241 module includes a 32 MHz crystal, an onboard antenna, and two pins for an NFC antenna and an external omnidirectional antenna, all in a compact size of just 7.4 × 7.0 × 1.0 mm.

The WSM-BL241 module is compatible with the MBN52832 development kit, also available from Mouser. The MBN52832 development kit facilitates application development using the Nordic nRF52 Software Development Kit (SDK). The kit consists of two detachable modules: an interface module with J-Link USB-SWD and USB-UART interfaces, and a breakaway module with the WSM-BL241 module integrated with an NFC antenna to enable the evaluation of Bluetooth and NFC-based networking products.
