Pickering Electronics has introduced its latest high-power reed relay, the 144 series, which boasts an impressive 80-watt power rating while stacking in a compact 0.25-inch size. The single-in-line package (SIP) reed relay offers a switching current of up to 2 amps, delivering up to 60 watts, or 1 amp for up to 80 watts, with a continuous carry current of up to 3 amps. It also features high-voltage capability, with a switching voltage of 1000 VDC up to 10 W and up to 3 kV stand-off.

Pickering Electronics, the reed relay company that has pioneered miniaturization and high performance for over 50 years, has added a 5kV switching version, up to 1.5kV, to its 104 series single-in-line reed relay family. Previously, achieving a 5kV switching capacity required a larger, non-SIP (Single-in-Line-Package) relay. The latest addition to maxon's range of sterilizable products is the new 'High Power' planetary gearboxes. The GPX HP STES feature a reinforced output stage to transmit higher torques. Available in 16 and 22 mm diameter sizes and equipped with a sealing system, these gearboxes can transmit even higher torques than currently available sterilizable gearboxes and withstand up to 2,000 autoclave sterilization cycles.

High-performance reed relay manufacturer Pickering Electronics has announced its first high-voltage surface-mount reed relays, known as the 219 Series. Available in several package types (same size but with different pin positions), these reed relays can switch up to 1000V in configurations of 1 Form A contact (SPST), 2 Form A contacts (DPST), and 1 Form B contact (SPNC); the switch stand-off is up to 3000V, while the switch coil isolation is up to 5000V.
