The Vivern family of contacts, rated at 2A per contact, are available in a 10-contact format with a 1.45mm pitch and have an insulation resistance greater than 1GΩ. They can be supplied in wire-to-wire and wire-to-board configurations.

The lightweight yet robust construction of these compact (10.6 mm outer diameter) polarized components makes them ideal for high-performance automotive applications (such as racing cars), as well as other applications subject to severe impacts and with weight and space constraints (such as robotics and aviation). The removable sleeve integrated into the bayonet locking mechanism can be removed to provide protection against connector damage from adverse loads and external impacts. The contacts are made of a gold-plated copper alloy for increased durability.

Vivern connectors are designed for use with 24AWG and 26AWG network cabling, and each features an IP67-rated watertight housing to prevent liquid ingress. Incorrect connections of adjacent wires in high-density electronic systems can be avoided thanks to easily identifiable options using a 3-color key. They operate in temperatures ranging from -65°C to +150°C and are durable, capable of withstanding at least 1,000 connection cycles. The printed circuit board (PCB) version includes stainless steel mounting clips that ensure secure board retention, even under severe vibration (exhibiting the necessary resistance to withstand 20G for over 6 hours).

The combination of their compact size and ability to conduct high currents makes these devices highly useful in a wide variety of sensor and data acquisition applications. They are primarily used in telemetry systems, vehicle controls, pit lane equipment, and automotive energy recovery systems, as well as in drones, radar equipment, robot articulators, and more.
