The first relay in this series operates at 40V, 350mA and is available in 1FormA contact arrangement.

MOSFET relays play a crucial role in the test and measurement equipment market due to their speed, efficiency, and reliability. As a trusted manufacturer, Panasonic Industry ensures that its innovative products effectively meet these requirements, satisfying the needs of diverse industries and applications.
PhotoMOS® relays are increasingly used in various industrial applications due to their unique characteristics and advantages over traditional electromechanical relays.

These are some of the main features of the new WSSOP relay:
- New compact package: WSSOP reduces the mounting area by 89% compared to conventional products. This contributes to equipment miniaturization, giving the customer the advantage of building more resource-efficient and cost-effective solutions.
- High-temperature operation: Guaranteed to operate at a maximum ambient temperature of +125°C, the new PhotoMOS® relay is ideal for use in high-temperature environments, such as semiconductor testers and burners. In comparison, conventional relays are only able to withstand up to +85°C.
- High sensitivity: The current required to operate the WSSOP relay is only 1.0mA, which is 1/3 of the 3.0mA required by the conventional product, demonstrating a 1/3 reduction in power consumption, thus contributing to energy savings for the equipment.
- High-speed operation: The WSSOP PhotoMOS® relay operates at Ton, typ. 0.025ms; Typical off-time 0.15ms -
High-frequency characteristics: Most importantly, the PhotoMOS® HS WSSOP features excellent high-frequency characteristics that enable uninterrupted high-frequency transmission. This product guarantees an insertion loss of 50 Ω, within 3dB at ~10 GHz.
Chaithra Bhat Beedubail, Product Manager at Panasonic Industry Europe, comments: “With the new PhotoMOS relay, we have developed a product for our customers that offers a unique, miniature design without compromising on performance. The relay is particularly well-suited for a variety of applications in test equipment—such as integrated circuit testers, board testers, or probe cards—measuring equipment such as multimeters or multiplexers, and medical equipment, for example, X-ray machines, ultrasound machines, and CT scanners. We are delighted to expand our PhotoMOS family with this new addition.”
